    All About Me

Born and raised in the great city of Pittsburgh, PA, I am a lifelong Steeler, Pirate, Red Sox and Trek fan. After 30 years as a teacher, it is my turn to think, to explore new ideas, to lose myself in family histories and to write about what I learn and see. For some, 73 is old. For me, I am just getting started. I really do Love My Life. lardasnikki@gmail.com

    Personal and Family Stories

I bring data from genealogical research to life, using my writing skills to tell client stories the way they would if they could write. I use AI as a tool, because AI is fun, but the final words are mine. Like my travels as an untourist (see below) I know the best stories come out of ordinary experiences. Everyday acts connect us to our ancestors and to ourselves.

    Travel Writing

With 22 countries visited so far, including living in the Middle East, and multiple trips to my Greek homeland and elsewhere, I write about being an untourist. I try to blend in and experience life as the natives and see the extraordinary in ordinary life. One of my best experiences ever was getting through the self-checkout in Reykjakvik without knowing a word in Icelandic - triumphant!
